In MLA format, how do you write the souce the name of a magazine name again in the essay when youve already cited it in a past paragraph? is it acceptable to use the inicials?

The name of the magazine within inverted commas should be used.

If the sources are enlisted one after the other ( not in different paragraphs), the term 'ibid' can be used. It is the short form of Lain 'ibidem' meaning 'in the same book or magazine as the one that has just been mentioned.'

ok this is what you do:
let's say the author's name is Oprah Winfrey. The article is titled "Oprah is Cool" and the magazine is called "Oprah Magazine." The issue is September 2006. The article was on page 35.

For your works cited page you do this:
Winfrey, Oprah. "Oprah is Cool." Oprah Magazine Sept. 2006:35.

The Oprah Magazine has to be underlined but it wont let me underline it here.

For the essay itself, when you refer to this article, you put this at the end of the sentence: (Oprah Magazine, September 2006, 35). I don't think you're allowed to use the initials for MLA format.
