all you need is a tool to decrypt that DVD , google a good way to do it is using google to find decrypting tools or DVD copying tools, if this are your own DVDs and you only want to back it up is noting wrong with that ,i buck up all my DVDs. if you own the DVDs you can do whatever you want as long as you don't profit from it or resell copies to your friends; you deserve the rights to do whatever you want with your belongings all those goons that talk and talk about morality and anti copy.
it looks like they don't remember why they bought their first "VCR OR THEIR MP3 " player ; don't tell me that they buy mp3 songs $1.00 a piece or that they used their VCR just to watch movies. that my friend is bull.
the fix for your problems is called DVD43 . look for it using the method above mentioned.(google) this tool is all you need to decrypt any movie it works in the back ground as soon as you insert a DVD in your drive , it will decrypt the movie and you will be able to use DVD shrink. to back up your DVDs.
you will notice when the little happy face icon turns green, when it does that means that the movie is decrypted , no settings or anything to do just insert the DVD,Wait for the happy face to turn green and use DVD shrink to back up.

keep up the good work

AND MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU.

Mention was made of this being illegal.
I was of the opinion if you buy software you are allowed to make one backup copy for personal use and you must have the original in your possession at all times or you could be found guilty of copyright infringement.

I think I'll post that as a question and we'll find out if anyone actually knows the law regarding this.

First of all, copying a movie that's copyrighted is a violation of the copyright which is a crime.

Helping you to violate the copyright would make whosoever does that an accessory after the crime.

I'm sorry that I don't think I, nor any other sensible, law abiding person would want to to help you with this.
