I installed Visual Studio Net and after that everytime I turn on my computer, there is a WindowsXP Welcome screen with an icon with the computers name. I have to click on that to log on to windows. Previously there were no welcome screen like this and I could just turn on the PC and get to the desktop.

Anyone knows how to get rid of this welcome screen. Pls Help.

The easiest way to accomplish this is to visit the below link and download "Tweak UI", which is a free utility for Windows, done by programmers at Microsoft. Once installed, start it up, and click on the + sign next to "Logon", and put a check mark in the box that says "Logon automatically at System Startup". From that point on, Windows will boot right into your account.
