Kellye is correct - rabbits are NOT rodents - rabbits are in fact lagomorphs. The only relatives of rabbits, fellow lagomorphs, are hares and pikas - you can read more about the lagomorphs - rabbits, hares, and pikas, here -

Okay...you all are wrong. Even the one who got it half right when she said that rabbits are lagomorphs.
Rabbits are Lagomorphs, but this is not a recent change. Rabbits have not been considered rodents for over a hundred years now. While they are in a class all their own, they are actually closer to hooved animals such as cows and horses than to rodents. Have you ever watched or seen a cow or horse eating hay or grass? They move their lower jaw down in a circular pattern as they chew their food...just like rabbits. A rodent's jaw on the other hand, just goes up and down as they chew. The other thing that separates rabbits from rodents is the inability of rabbits to use their front paws. All rodents are capable of using their front paws to hold food and things, while rabbits are not. I hope it helps. Buggs, Easter, March Hare. . .
. . .seriously, rabbits have been recently reclassified from Rodents to their own family (Lagomorphs, or "hare shape.") That's because they have extra teeth that a true rodent such as a rat or mouse don't.
In the Lagomorph family, there are rabbits, hares, and picas. Picas are little Guinea pig-like critters that adapt well to cold weather and can live in high altitudes.
