ZONE ALARM SECURITY SUITE

Norton is Junk. It does nothing other than slow ur pc down. Never try Norton for ur pc's sake. Norton's a resource hog.

Zone Alarm security suite is so far the best and doesn't make ur pc slow. It has the best and triple defence firewall, good antivirus and a good antispyware. Again for separate programs, Spybot is great antispyware. U can use any number of antispywares. Use AdAware SE and Spybot additional if u want . Enable only one firewall - ZoneAlarm . And one antivirus - Say ZoneAlarm is fine, So Overall I'll give ZoneAlarm Security suite 5 stars.

For Antivirus the final pay-for ones are Kaspersky and Nod32. those manufacturers won't be besides everyday as Norton or McAfee yet are extra efficient and much less intrusive. additionally they don't hog up lots gadget ingredients. Norton and McAfee have been super 5-10 years in the past, yet now they're bloated and overpriced in comparison to the possibilities available. for loose, AVG works super (i exploit it at homestead)... extra desirable than Norton yet not as stable because of the fact the aforementioned 2 above. For Anti-secret agent ware homestead windows Defender is loose and so is Spybot seek and harm. i might advise a mix of the two. the only draw back is you may desire to manually replace Spybot each and every so generally. Anti-unsolicited mail in my opinion i'm not keen on any anti-unsolicited mail utility you may desire to pay for. None of them quite do lots to easily ward off unsolicited mail. I desire to purely practice the direct mail controls on my email shopper and locate that it quite works only besides with no need to purchase something. Firewall not something beats hardware. Even a low-priced router. the final risk-free practices is a firewall router or any new NVIDIA nForce motherboard now comes with a hardware firewall (ActiveArmor) geared up into the board. in case you do bypass utility, then ZoneAlarm loose works as stable as any.

I wasted money on Norton Antivirus 2006, it sucked, hogged up resources, took forever to load (on my brand new PC with 2gigs of RAM and TWO dual Intel processors!).

So I downloaded Trend Micro PCCillin Internet Security and it was $50 and I can use it on all three of my computers for a year. Norton was $40 for each computer and it had half the coverage and was twice as much.

If you ask 20 people you will get people rooting for different programs. However, in tests, it is shown that Trend Micro Pc-Cillin is the best overall package. It has an antivirus(awsome), Firewall(awsome), antispam (its ok), anti identity theft (awsome), anti wireless intrusion (so others wont use your internet wirelessly)(awsome) and finnaly antispyware (good). It is the best however you dont need to take my word for it...Check out cnets review.

I used Norton 2003 I had all kinds of problem and I kept it updated regularly
McAfee is ok but I don't recomend it either-even though I using it now.

AVG is the best.. and it's free.

I have had my computer screwed by both Mcaffee and Norton-Symantics. norton systems-works crashed my hard drive so bad I had to put in a new one.

I read a glowing recommendation for Norton SystemWorks, and I've had nothing but trouble with it.
