I just wanna hear your thoughts.
Will you ever be happy, even if what you thought you wanted comes to pass?
Will having your head plugged in to an mp3 player really drown your sorrows...the drone of superficial conversation, or the flash of the TV screen?
Ever wake up, ready for another day to begin, the same as it has the day before, and the day before that too? You feel like your drowning in your life, but you can't escape cause there's no where else to go. You've stopped feeling, cause there's no point to it. Stopped looking for love because, well; your still saving up for plastic surgery, thank you very much. Why does the word God spark the conversation into arguing, and politics and science and...complicated stuff that God is not in? Why can't we relate to Him more? I have a lot to say, but few who will listen. Songs in my throat, but no voice to sing them. I banner to hold, but no strength to lift it. No strength. No life. No love. No song. We settle for this?

Shadow, your words are beautiful. Don't you dare listen to some of these heartless, shallow stereotypes. I know exactly what you mean. Your NOT depressed, you weren't complaining. A lot to say, but few who will listen INDEED. I'll diagnose you...you have emotion, heart, and the mind of a poet who feels different feelings, sees greater hights and knows deeper depths; you question authority. Please consider me the one who listened.

There are no guarantees in life. With every choice you make in life, no matter how minute, your life is directed. You hope for the best and make that choice that you believe is most right; but there is no way of knowing for sure--often even in hindsight. Life is chance, and a crap shoot. If you seek happiness in things or in a God, you will inevitably be unhappy. You can not find happiness in that which is the desperate fantasy of brainwashed masses. You can not relate to a figment of the mindless imagination of cowards. You have to find your happiness in smaller things in life. Like watching your children grow up. Enjoying a pleasant weekend with someone you care about. Life is a string of events. The best way to be happy is to accept those events which are not so pleasant and savor those events that are. Focus on and find peace in those things in life that are realistically and rationally attainable and you'll no longer be disappointed. Fear not, nor dwell on potential tragedy. To do so is to waste precious moments living and loving those in your life while they are with you.

That's not my situation at all. I don't settle. Maybe you shouldn't either. Everything starts from within. You can change things by focusing on the positive aspects of what you want, feeling them, and believing in them. Law of attraction will make them come to pass. No exception.

Shadow I think you have some serious issues with life! If you are so unhappy with your life why don't you change it. That is everyones responsibilty to themselves. If there are problems with the way you percieve life there are problems with yourself. Are you on antidepressants by ther way? I think if you change your own life and stop worrying about everyone else's life you might be happier!

Whoever looks for satisfaction outside their own mind reaps the same handful of sand slipping away through their fingers...

Who's settling? Unrest and discontent are what make humans strive to achieve more.
