,No comprehension of night and day, but normal feeding habits nor mating can't be completed in night so maybe the natural response is to return to what the perceive is normal, that being light or day light, if i remember correctly all animals and bugs find the female by color and or by cemical sent, the due in the night would cover sent and well if you can't see anything i don't think you could know what color your where looking at could you.
