I suggest you check out some of the Lolita retailers and see what they have, so you can get an idea of what you want. http://www.sf-lilith.com/favorite_links.html has a large listing of Gothic Lolita clothing shops. A Lolita outfit normally consists of a frilly blouse & skirt set, ankle or knee high socks, Mary Jane shoes, a choker, and a headpiece. A sewing machine's a sewing machine, don't pay too much for one unless you want to do embrodiery with it.

any sewing machine is good, look up some magazines or websites (i'm sure u already do) i.e. www.asiajam.com has some lolitta clothes. once u hav ur design then.....

go to 2nd hand stores they hav bits and pieces of things, if u find a black piece of clothing that is from grandma time (since it has a little lace) or watever piece that fits.
also, walmart has cloths for not so expensive

jewerly? most ppl who wear loliita don't hav much jewerly but i've seen lots with headbands, try black one with lace or maybe a little bonnet.
shoes....i'm not sure, u'd probably know

good luck

Go to thrift stores and look for victorian jewelry. As fas as making a costume, any sewing machine is good as long as it runs...Look for long pearl costume necklaces. that would be pretty
