i know zooey deschanel pronouces her name like zoey, but do some people named zooey pronouce it differently?

I think it will still be pronounced Zoey, like as Joey in the TV show Friends but with a "Z". People (parents) sometimes want their (or their children's) names to be distinct yet still with the norm of society. This is the reason why some names are spelled differently yet are very common.

I'm pretty sure its like zoe- EE, but you can pronounce names however you want. If I saw that name on a list, I'd say in zoey.

In reading it, you would pronounce it (zoo-ie). I cannot see how you would pronounce it Zoey.
