Platinum means one million sold. Diamond means 10 million sold. Gold is only 500,000 and Silver is 250,000.
There is diamond. Here is proof.

Platinum is definitely better. I think platinum means that the artist has sold a million copies of their record.

Neither is better, because sales are absolutely not indicative of quality. However, a 'platinum' album sells more than a 'gold' album.

I believe when they say a record has "gone Gold" that means it has sold about 700,000 or 750,000 copies, and when it "goes Platinum" that means it has sold 1,000,000 copies.....so platinum record would be "better"
