Find the middle number and that is the median.

Even if there is a repeating number you must use it, you only take the middle number, If there are an even number of observations, one often takes the mean of the two middle values.


LoVeBuG 217: What you just did was trying to find the MEAN, and adding those numbers and dividing by 7 doesn't even come to 3 it's 2.85714 rounded to 2.86.

Add 4,2,5,3,3,2,1 and then devid that by 7 ( the amount or number of numbers there...(or added)) (its 3)
