How can you tell if someone is insecure with themselves?

An insecure person is very ostentatious and takes offense at everything, or he or she is extremely reserved and is almost withdrawn from the world, limiting interpersonal contact to that which is absolutely necessary for survival.

A truly insecure person stays away from other people & avoids all contact with the outside world. They say nothing or very little. However, there are many different levels of insecurity! Some are complete control freaks who enjoy being bullies & must always have the last word.

When their height of stupidity shows that they do stupid things that just won't make any common sense. Or when the neweds to feel important or the rush they get just are totally out of wack. And especially when they constantly changes subjects when they talk to you, or dislike you for who you are, or just plain old dorky about everything. that's what makes someone seems utterly insecure realizing that they themselves are stupid and insecure.

i can tell about someone's insecurity by looking them in the eye. if they can't look you in the eye when speaking, then that's one way. if someone can't take a joke, that is also showing insecurity.
