1st dont worry about being great, worry about being fundamentally sound. There are a lot of books at the library that can help you, or either pull one of the coaches aside and ask them to suggest some drills. These should be your primary areas of interest ball handling, shooting, and defense. once you improve in these areas your overall game will get better. And dont forget hustle will make up for any glaring weakness'. Doing the dirty work(rebounding, playing tough D, & making good passes) will endear you to your team mates.

Don't worry if u practice enough then you'll be good. Thats how i was when i first started playin a while ago. I didn't even know how to make a layup but after a while a coach saw me play a street game and he saw that i had talent so thats when i started becoming good and now im really hard to guard even though im really short 5'8"

Stick with it, don't sweat the small stuff...spend a lot of time running the drills that you're the "weakest link in" by yourself after practice or whenever.
