This is a good question, and no, I don't believe the option is given! However, I think we all know why there are no old or fat avatars--everybody knows that this society worships youth and slimness! All others need not apply! We all try to pretend not to notice that people do get old and that fat people are people too!

You can choose to have a "plus size" avatar. I have done mine that way. However, it is just a normal looking body type and not the waif-like skinny ones that they have. There isn't one that looks old, or has gray hair though.
