No, PetSmart does not sell any rabbits. This is for 2 reasons: Rabbits are becoming extremely over-populated in a lot of areas (PetSmart is dedicated to helping homeless pets, not adding to the pet overpopulation problem), and because in recent years, there has been a lot of trouble finding quality breeders who are truly dedicated to providing quality of life for their rabbits. Most Petco stores are also following the trend of not selling rabbits. Some still are, but I know that here in Washington, Petco has been banned from selling any rabbits by the state's supreme court, after a rabbit welfare group filed a petition to stop them from selling rabbits. It was found that Petco was not caring for their bunnies properly at all, and as a result, they haven't been able to sell rabbits for over 5 years now. If you want to get a quality rabbit, the best place to go is to a reputable breeder. If you have a specific breed that you were interested in, you can go to the American Rabbit Breeder's Association website (http://www.arba.net), and you can do a search for breeders in your area that work with that breed. They also have pictures of all the different breeds so that if you're not sure of a breed, you can find a few that may interest you and go from there. If money is tight, going to a breeder might not work for you. If that's the case, I would strongly encourage you to go to your local animal shelter(s) to see if they have any rabbits available for adoption. Most shelters will charge anywhere from $15 to $30 for rabbits and other small animals (such as rats and hamsters), and you won't have to worry about paying for a spay or neuter operation, or for shots (as the bunny should already have been altered by the time you pick him/her up, and will be up to date on his/her shots (there are 2 annual shots that most rabbits should be getting)...2 ways that adopting is cheaper than buying from a petshop or breeder!). I hope it helps!

You would be better off going to a shelter because usually the cost of the spay or neuter is included in the adoption fee. Plus the people at the shelter will know a lot more about rabbit than some goofy teen at petsmart or petco. http://www.rabbit.org

Petsmart would not promote rabbits. Petco sells them, for style of one hundred funds yet those bunnies come from bunny turbines. they arrive alongside with habit and well being complications, and petco tries to make themselvs look responsible by claiming that their buns are spayed or neutered, although the buns they promote are babies, and thanks to youthful, etc. contact your interior of sight rabbit rescue and undertake an altered bun who's already muddle field educated and healthful and who desires a house.

Please consider looking at animal shelters first, or look for ads. (I can't believe no one else said this yet) There are tons of little bunnies who need homes besides the bunnies living at Petco. I had to give my guinea pigs up because my boyfriend got very allergic, so i have them to a little girl with nice parents. Bunnies live 5 to 7 years anyways, they got a lot of "mileage" in them
