While I'm not sure what you mean by "gives out", it could mean that your heart isn't up to the stress you're giving it in your workout. I would recommend seeing a doctor before EVER working out again, just because it's really not worth the risk. Some people are born with heart problems that are aggrevated by exercise.

Then again, your "gives out" could be lack of proper breathing during exercise. If you lift weights and always hold your breath, you might not be giving your body enough oxygen. (Plus, it raises your blood pressure.) Again, see a doctor to make sure this isn't becoming a serious issue.

After working out, u need rest. Rest is as important as exercise. You work ur heart out everyday, doesn't mean u'll get stronger, Work out, and rest. See, once u work out, u tire up the muscles, and break it down. It has to rebuild up stronger, and for that u need rest. So, i reckon, u are not weak, but works out harder without rest. Again, it wud give out if u workout hard. It's natural and good if u give adequate rest for it to rebuild stronger. So take a break from working out, say 2-3 days. You may perform better.

No it could be the way you workout. Try a different way of working your chest and see if you'll still get that pain.

You're out of shape and / or trying to lift too much. You should drink before you start to work out, and a sport drink can be better than water...
