I asked this earlier, and after not getting much response, thought I'd ask again.

I had a job interview at Wal-Mart. They never mentioned it, but I read signs about a "No Quit" policy. I asked, but didn't get much of an answer. What does this mean? And how does it affect your work record IF/when one DOES quit??

Wal-Mart is a terrible place to work. I worked there for almost a year and just stopped going to work cause I got tired of it. The no quit policy is where they'll try to work with you and put you somewhere else in the store that you might like better instead of quitting. I quit anyways. I hate Wal-Mart.

I actually liked working for wal-mart as a cashier. Chicken boy is right about the no-quit policy. They want you to try a different area of the store before you consider quitting all together. They have the open door policy too. Wal-marts a decent place to work... depending on which walmart you work at.

No Quit policy means basically once you decide to quit, you need to have an exit interview. A manager has to interview you to find out why you're quitting and yeah I don't quite understand how they can stop you from quitting, but thats what it means...Wal-Mart sucks though...fair warning. They treat their employees like crap. Be prepared for low wages and disatisfaction...if you get hired use them! Make it a step and don't get suckered in...you can find a better job! Best of luck in whatever you end up doing.

I worked at Wal-Mart the summer before I started college. I was hired knowing I was leaving when school started. I've never heard of the "No Quit" policy. But, I've been out of school quite a while. I don't recommend quitting a job you have unless you have another job ready to go to when you do.

I've worked at Wal-Mart for 2 years and I've never heard of a no quit policy. When you do quit as long as you give your 2 weeks, everything should be cool.

I've never heard of a no quit policy... but then again I didn't work at WalMart... I was a Supervisor at KMart.

Chicken Boy, that makes a lot of sense... because when I wanted to quit my job at KMart, they tried talking me into moving to the electronics department rather than quitting (like that was going to be any better. LOL)

You have a right to quit. Walmart is famous for paying low wages and little or no benefits. A "no quit policy" would be against the law. A couple zillion people have quit working for Walmart.

It means they will find some stupid reason to fire you before you quit. I used to work in the produce section on overnights and they fired me for fainting in the cooler. They said I was sleeping, in the 32 degree cooler. My advice is run, run far away, they treat their employees like crap. work at a gas station or something else don't work at Walmart.
