No. It's kinda redundant to wear a watch when you have a cell phone. Most people have a cell phone, why wear a watch? Unless it is to look nice like at an interview or nice occassion like a wedding or something. Watches are going "out" of style as cell phones are more common.

Not *all* girls use a purse. Some use fanny packs, and some carry wallets in their jeans' pockets. I have a "wallet on a string" that I use sometimes when carrying a regular purse isn't convenient.
Which leads me to your question. If you don't like wearing a watch because it's uncomfortable, then sell off your expensive watches and buy a pocket watch. An antique pocket watch is fun and easy to wear. Or buy an inexpensive plastic watch and wear it on a lanyard around your neck.
Just like the purse situation, there's always more than one possibility.

It's a personal choice. :) But I have seen most guys do wear watches...and they look really good in them. There are other guys that don't wear watches....so if you are not comfortable wearing one, then don't wear one....but you need to know what time it is just in case (a cell phone has the time on it so this is a good alternative).

I always wear watches. I have 47 of them. Some of them are beautiful. If one's watch is uncomfortable, he must have the wrong one. Leather straps are more comfortable than metal bracelets. Those cheap expansion bracelets feel terrible, but one with a deployable buckle is OK. How expensive are your watches? Today, I wore a $26,100 Piaget "Polo". I haven't decided which one to wear tomorrow.

I always wear a watch...period! Even if I'm running late I'll run back in to get "my watch". I only wear one watch. I have quite a few, but I'm quite fond of this particular one. It was a $200 watch and I have beat it to hell. Its heavy as a lead weight and is quite bulky. The band is scratched and dinged, the face is nicked,
but it still looks decent and works perfect.
I look at a watch as a reflection of yourself...mine is beat to hell and back..but still looks good and keeps on going...that would be me :)
so whatever =/

Perhaps the bands are too tight. If they are expensive watches take it to a jeweler, they can size it for you. But, if you are just plain uncomfortable wearing one then don't. Just remember you have to be on time where you go.

Not all girls have a purse. Yeah, it is very convenient, but some girls find carrying it around irritating.
Same goes for you, if you like wearing watches, wear it, but it they bother you, you should not wear them. Do what makes you comfortable.

I would say only if he wanted to know what time it was. :)
Seriously though, things like watches are totally personal preferance. I think a man looks more professional with the right watch on, it means he values his time, and therefore would hopefully value mine as well.
I only like watches witth nicer outfits though, business wear. A watch with a short sleaved t shirt and pair of shorts looks a little strange.

Well since you're uncomfortable with it, then I suggest you not to wear it.
Overall, there's nothing with guys wearing watches, It's normal to wear watches.
