In almost all circumstances yes, if the computer is relativly new (couple years) I'd say almost definitly yes. There ARE exceptions of course but worst case scenario in those would be the ram simply not working and if you buy it from the right places you'd be able to return it with youre receipt.

Yes it is ok.... That would give you 512 dual access and the last 256 would be only single processed so it would be a half the speed. But that is better than the only having the 2-256

no problesm its works fine ..if u have 2 256 at any case one 256 got problem .. pc runs on another 256 ... if u had only single 512 at any case that ram had problem system will be down and u must have to buy 512 only ..

just as long as the ram is the right stuff to begin with..
It should be alright.
But you will not be able to take advantage of Dual Channel if your motherboard supports it. Dual Channel requires even amounts of sticks and the same size only.

After you install the memory be sure to bench the computer with memtest86 to ensure that the RAM is fully compatible and works as it should

It should work. I have one woth a 256 and 512. As long as there's space for them it should be no problem.

Yes that will work fine but 512 should be on slot no1 & 2x256 put them on 2nd & 3rd slot u'll get excellent results.........
