Socrates was not an atheist. He attended all the ceremonies and functions of the city. He mentioned the devine often if not the particular Greek Gods worshipped by the city. He was also charged with corrupting the youth, if I recall. Hard to make an arguement that Plato was corrupted.

What kind of a question is that? The people in power didn't like what he was saying, so they put him on trial as someone causing political problems and killed him.
