I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am SE. I recently bought a keyless entry remote from The Parts You Need. I just got the keyless entry with instructions and the instructions aren't working. Any recommendations???

have someone look at the tag which is on the spare tire cover in trunk. There is a list of 3 digit option codes that tell if its equipped with key-less entry. This is usually deciphered by dealership parts guy.

quick way to see if the car is equiped is to check the owners manual. If you don't have that, go into the fuse box and look at the drawing of the fuse layout. Usually, it tells what each fuse controls. If you have power windows or power door locks you will need a fuse for it. If this doesn't work, you could look inside the door through the hole where the lock goes and see ifyou can see a solenoid. If your car doesn't have either of the above, you can purchase power door locks from a store that sells the alarms and even the ones that tint windows. For a basic one it should be less than 100 for the kit and about 20-40 for installation. They sell some that come with remote starter options and wicked looking remotes for 100-300.

try the website, if available. if not you could try to find an aftermarket installer, see if they could help. if that does not work, try to contact The Parts You Need, to see if they can help.
