The people above me have given you really strange tips.

You study hard, but you don't get want you expect in tests, right? It used to happen to me too. Studying hard is not enough. Don't just take notes and rote memorize all the material, because honestly it doesn't help. What you need to do is past papers (if you could just ask your teacher or check out library books) and do lots of it on the topics being tested.

Also, you might not be answering the questions as required.
Again, go to the library and look through the books on exam/testing tips (books on answering exam/test questions), and use those that most appeal to you. Getting it right comes with trial and error, so don't be discouraged if you don't succeed the first time. Best of luck =)

Studying in the same room where the test will be given can help set up associations that could be triggered during the test.

Other similarities can help too, such as time of day, amount of rest, etc.

For better retention that continues after the test study in a variety of settings at a variety of times.

Honestly, peppermint helps as an herbal remedy. Suck or chew on peppermint candies while taking the test.

What I have found most useful, and I am alot older now and attending school...again....(ugghh) read the info 3 times aloud; such as vocabulary or definitions. Also, re-read your outline right before the test. If they give you a scratch piece of paper, BEFORE you start the test, write down everything you know for certain. When it comes to a "trick" question on the test, you can refer to your notes on the scratch piece of paper. I am on the dean's list! It works for me! Good luck to you hun!
