I work at Lowe's and we sell a repair kit for fiberglass that costs about $10. It will fix both the gelcoat finish and the fiberglass. It is a relatively easy fix as long as it is not a very large hole. If the hole is a large one then you will have to get creative with a way to support the bottom of the tub. Something like Great Stuff Foam Sealer to fill in the gap between the support joists. After you fill in the gap with the sealer, you can then use the patch kit. Anything bigger than a nickel is too big just to use the patch.

must be a fiberglass tub. you can buy a bondo fiberglass repair kit from ypu local auto parts store. it will have instructions but basicly will say-- sand the portion you will be putting the repair on. paint with resin and set the sheet on top. coat with resin again and let dry. if its a high traffic area (in the middle of the tub) you'll need to put on more layers. you can get a coloring agent so the resin will be white. How nice it looks will be how good a job you have done. Naturally a new tub is in order but that gets kinda major. also there are all kinds of tub mats that would cover up the job. if you need the repair to last for awhile you will need to sand well and keep it really clean.

Best guess is that you don't. I've never heard of anyone repairing a hole in a bathtub or sink, but I don't know everybody. If it were me, I would start looking online or at the library for self-help / do-it-yourself books for home repairs. If that fails, buy a new tub and remember this important lesson. Sorry, I can't be of more help. :)

I would not try to fix it. Usually if something happens to your ladder, you want to dispose of it and get a new one. That is the safest thing to do to make sure you don't have an accident with your ladder.

you have a cheap fiberglass tub.

you can try buying fiberglass patch from an auto parts store, and building up the material, sanding and then re-gel coat

but it is going to look like crap, you have to get a new tub
