What path do I take to find programs that are running that do not reveal themselves with an icon in the task bar?

Me know answer .
me give advice.
Kevin press "start"
Kevin choose "Run"
Kevin type "Msconfig"
Kevin get a big dialogue box .
Kevin choose "start up"
Kevin will find a big list of all the programs that have icons and start in the start up.
Kevin can then deselect any of the items he doesn't want to see .

Tanny is right. that brings up a Task Manager window that lists all running processes, and lets you shut down any that you don't want running.

Microsoft has a real bad habit of running the kernel, so to speak, of almost every MS application with no input on your part. If you have MS office installed, some of it goes in memory. I loaded Encarta and it was loaded, and so was the Encarta dictionary. For fast start if you want to run it, MS deliberately uses very large amounts of memory for **** you may not even want to run most of the time.
