do,nt be so naieve into thinking that if you have a habit that if I had the goods to supply it ,do you think that I would sell you it cheaply ,especially if I have total control,no way Jose, I will ride it out for all it,s worth and try to make as much as i can since reserves are dwindling and china and India are rising in the middle class by the millions, fresh meat for the market ,and new habits to feed ,no consideration for the greenhouse effect or the environment, just the cash, since the oil embargo ,we as consumers used to see how much was for the actual gas price then we would see how much taxes we were paying as a consumer,we do not see that now because for the gasoline we are paying taxes through the nose,I do not mind paying taxes ,as long as it is put to good use ,as rich as we claim we are why ca,NT we do right for the disaster from Katrina,we as a nation do not hold our government accountable enough so we do no wrong by paying for every bill and price hike that comes along

Well to be frank, i believe a lot of things are all linked with our government so that we can buy the oil from them, then make like hurricane katrina destroyed all oil resrves, thus raising the price (not that it didnt do damage, but, come on!). Really, we get the gas abd raise taxes real high on it, then bring the price down magically so it makes the party in control (republicans) look good to be reelected during the next presidential election.

Tree huggers are the reason for higher gasoline prices. You can't drill off the east coast of the US, offshore Florida or California and in Alaska. You can't produce the western oil sands or produce gasoline from coal and everything is because of tree huggers.

The point of war was to make sure the oil companies had plenty of oil. So they could sell it to us, and continue to make lots of cash.
