Have you ever tried building a doll house? There are kits available and plans are also available if you want to build from scratch. I've been told it can be a very relaxing hobby and from all the doll and miniature shows I've attended,it seems to be equally popular with men as well as women.

Those old sea ships. They are rather complicated and very time intensive, and quite detailed, but when finished make a beautiful show piece.
