usually by thee 12th week an ultrasound can show baby's genital areas about 99% of thee time by the 13th week it's pretty much a given to be able to know an amniocentesis test also but up to 1/200 may result in miscarriage and Dr's usually don't do that test unless they suspect other problems of course you could just wait and be surprised which ever I pray for you a healthy happy baby

the earliest is the 16th week.....but many OBs suggest you wait until 19 or 20 weeks......just to hopefully have a more developed picture
