Ok so, I want my lip peirced. But since my dads all "perfect" and wants me to be just like him, he wont let me. He is also a sales trainer, so it's hard to get anything through his head. Anybody have an idea on how i go about convincing him? Or even, tips on doing it myself?

DO NOT PIRCE YOUR OWN LIP. if you hit one of the nerves in your lip, half your face may be paralized. cant help on cinvincing pops. wait till you are 18 and if you still want it then get it done professionally. it will be around $50 and then you want to tip the piercer if you ever want to go back there. they can make things hurt if they know you are not going to tip them.

I have had a number of piercings in my time, and I have stopped wearing all but one (not counting my ears). I've found that no matter how open minded you are, there are quite a few more people out there that aren't. All of my piercings were easily hidden. For example: I had my septum pierced, but I could easily hide it by wearing a "retainer". No one had to know it was pierced, and no one gave me funny stares when I went to places that called for a more "traditional" attire. My advice: don't ever get a facial piercing that you can't hide (lip, eyebrow, beauty mark). You'll probably get tired of it after a few years anyways. If you want something pierced, go for your septum or tongue. I've had my tongue pierced for 15 years, and most people have never even noticed. And I'm a registered nurse that talks to people all day long! And don't even try to do it yourself. Your mouth area is not the cleanest of areas, and a bad infection there could really cause lots of scarring, not to mention the horrible embarrassment of having to explain why your lip looks all funky! Try to meet your father in the middle....offer to get a piercing that can be hidden!

Don't even try piercing it yourself! I think that it will be kinda hard trying to get your dad to let you do it. I say starting showing more responsibilty around that house. You also need to think about the scar that your going to have there when you take it out. How about piercing a place less visible, like your belly button?!?! You can find way more cute little charms for your belly button, than you can your lip! Good Luck!

i dont no if u could realy confince him alot but u could say that i will act more responceble and do evrything u say without u having 2 say it again.if he does not let u still peirce it then still do all thoughs thing and w8 until he will let u.Do not peirce it ur self!!!!!!!it is much better 2 w8 bcuz if u can prove that u will do anything for it then he will let u sooner or l8er but if u go ahead and just do it he will make u take it out and for sure never let u get it peirce and probley ground u.

If your still living at home then I think you need to respect your dads wishes and wait til you move out. I've got my nose pierced but thats only because I had moved out of my parents home.and I think I did the right choice I waited till I was out on my own.
And they really appreciated that i respected them in that matter. You know parents don't understand why we do the things we do. But if your not old enought then I really think you should take your dad into consideration. GOOD LUCK !

if you are 16 or over then you will have no problems if you want it done just get it done the lip piercing would be best to be done by a body piercer plese dont do it yourself

I dont think you should do it ur self cuz u might hurt your self, but you should try getting good grades or helping around the house more. then u should ask him at the right moment.

dont do it!!1 if your gonna get a nother piercing beside ears, then do you belly button.....(if you must, tongue) besides, lip piercings look like fangs
