I just purchased a Palm Treo 650. I found that note pad (the scribble a note program) is missing. Is this for a reason? Is there some way I can get the program back?

Yes the Zire 72 I did have also had memo pad, It also had a note pad program that allowed me to doodle notes and pictures. It was much faster for quick notes. It is considered a sticky note program. With Memo Pad you have to type the text which is slower. Thanks for the answer

Note pad does not come bundled in the 650.

You can try beaming it from your Zire (if you still have it), or try the link below for Diddlebug. It's free.

If you don't mind spending a few dollars, I'd also recommend Notes by Pennovate, and EasyNotes by iambic. Both are excellent programs that I use frequently. You can download them for test drives before you buy.

For the life of me, I can't figure out why the heck Palm rolled out those Treos without Note Pad.

You are thinking of the application called "Note It" which has the scribble capability.

Go to www.handango.com to locate it and others.
