ISN'T THAT SOMETHING A DICTATOR WOULD DO?

PS. BUSH DID THIS MORE THAN ALL THE PREVIOUS PRESIDENTS COMBINED.

It seems to me with a rubber stamp congress that Bush would not have to make his own laws, just goes to show you one facit of his corruption. Yes it is something a dictator would do to put himself above the laws.

No, average Americans do not want a President who thinks he is above the law he expects everbody else to follow. I don't think the public realized he was doing this as much as he has. Your second statment is true. Doesn't this attitude of Bush scare any one?

Mostly nobody cares. And they generally are (or should be) meaningless. But Bush's have been extra infuriating b/c they seem dishonest and disrespectful of the law. He seems to be saying "I won't or can't successfully veto this bill as the law requires, so I'll just sign it, but I reserve my [non-existent] right to ignore it later."

I heard some congressmen were bringing suit about it.

I just hope they don't give him line item veto.

But all the other Presidents DID do it. I don't hear anyone saying we were heading to a dictatorship when Clinton was doing it.
