I've seen so many in 30 years it's difficult to remember names. One memorable one comes to mind from the Flyers Stanley Cup winning years when Dave Schultz pounded the snot out of Wayne Cashman. It was so one-sided I felt sorry for Cashman even though he was a Bruin.

Bob Probert had many nasty fights but I liked the one where he showed Rob Ray who was boss.

I'll never forget back in the late 70's when a few Flyers had to go to court in British Columbia for going into the stands during a "game" with the Canucks. Not to mention the slug-fest vs. the Senators a few years ago.

Chris Nilan vs Bob Probert best fights of all time

and back in the 70's when the Habs beat the hell out of the Broad Street Bullies to end the Flyers intimidation streak and Larry Robinson made Dave Shultz look like a little boy. the Habs went on to win 4 consecutive Stanley cup's and the Flyers never won a cup again.

I can remember a couple...Bob Probert as a Detroit Red Wing against Marty Mcsorley as a Pittsburgh Penguin.

the other fight was not a one on one fight it was more like a brawl...during the gold medal deciding game between canada and the soviet union in the 1987 world junior hockey tournament from czechoslovakia, both teams broke out into a huge brawl....back then international referees never had dealt with any kind of fighting in hockey before so the only solution they could come up with was to turn off the lights in the arena but apparently that could not stop both teams from finishing the fight...in the end both canada and the russians were disqualified and the gold medal was awarded to the 3rd place team (Finland), the silver went to the 4th place team (Czechoslovakia) and the bronze was awarded to the 5th place team (Sweden)...but the brawl was a truly hockey classic!

I was at a London Knights game and I saw an amazing fight but I can't remember the names. In the NHL, it has to be Tie Domi and Chris Neil last season. (mid-season)

Semenko of the Oilers back in the day. It was against a Winnipeg Jet forget his name but his helmet stayed on and Semenko hit him so many times a peice by the ear broke off. His hand was split across the knuckles so with every punch blood was flying. He must of hit him 50 times before he went down. One of his first fights protecting Gretzky.

I heard about this one. It's one of Gretzky's fight, if you can call it a fight. Gretzky took a couple whacks at this guy and the guy knocked him down and asked "Had enough?" Gretzky said " Yeah." And that was the "fight". Probably the shortest in NHL history. Gretz only had two other fights in his career. They're probably all similar to this one. Gretz won 5 Lady Byng Awards in his career (most gentlemanly player).
