I think you mean "mammals" not "animals" :) & well, these peeps are saying cats & dogs...but this Q has never even crossed my mind :) I'll just have to go w/ these peeps who are answering just cuz I don't have an answer lool. :)

Nearly all female animals have periods. More commonly it is referred to as being "in heat". Birds lay eggs as do other animals. All mammals go into heat cycles at various times.

Have you ever heard a cat "caterwauling" all night? She is having her period.

Yes, all mammals do...not all bleed like humans, sometimes cattle do, but not often. it's usually called "heat" with animals. and just like humans, when animals are pregnant, they no longer come into heat.

YEP! I guess you have never had a female dog or cat who likes to sleep in your bed. It can get quite messy if you don't have them fixed. To answer your question, all mammals do.

I think dogs and cats do, but I'm not sure how it works with them. Ask a vet.
