to get rid of dark spots on my arms? They are from acne and it bothers me so much that I don't even wear sleeveless or really short sleeve shirts. I don't have money for a dermatologist so if anyone knows of something I could get over the counter, it would help so much.

Wear a sunscreen (oil free) everyday even if you do not plan to go outside.

Use a loofah in the shower (for exfoliation) or a scrub, or...you get the idea, and then apply a cream on the dark spots when you get out of the shower, that contains a chemical called hydroquinone, the higher the percentage in active ingredients, the better. Avon sells a banishing cream with it, but I'm sure there are others out there at the drug store, etc...the only thing that matters is the active ingredient. It's slow but it works.

something with hydroquinine in it. It is a medical ingredient that fades spots. Ask the pharmacist...often it is kept behind the counter. Anything you find on the shelf in the front store of a pharmacy...rarely works when it comes to skin care.

If they are scars vitamin E oil will work it takes time but it does work. Also you can try putting Papaya on them it will fade freckles and age spots. There are some scar removal patches at pharmacies but they can cost a little more. And you know other people won't notice them as much as you do...
