Has anyone noticed an unauthorized charge on thier credit card after making an on line purchase from JC Whitney. Charge is for about $10.00 from a company named ShopperDiscount. They claim that, you, when making your purchase from JC Whitney ordered this service.
Never repeat never ordered this. When I contacted JCWhitney the first woman who answered the phone hung up on me when I asked her about it. The second call I asked to speak to a supervisor and am still waitng for one to call me back

Never, I repeat NEVER order anything from J.C. Whitney, they
have for years and years been the absolute dump, trash house
to order from for 30 years that I know of and have filed repeated
Bankruptcy's and Reorganized and screwed people out of their
money and if you did receive your order it was not as it was
represented in their catalog. As always, take your lumps, but
do report them to a consumer agency without fail.

You probably agreed to it online by not reading the entire agreement. I bet it is perfectly legal because you didn't thoroughly read all the fine print. Be more careful next time. But continue calling them. Also check to see if you missed something. First, notify your credit card company. How do you even know that the Shoppersdiscount charge had anything at all to do with a previous purchase? Someone just stole your identity online maybe. Cancel all your cards. Notify all three of the credit bureaus. And if it was JC Whitney, get a lawyer.

You might get more action by contacting the credit card company and protesting the charge.

contact your credit card company and give them this info...they have all the #s of persons charging to your credit card. You will most likely have to send a letter in writing that you contest this bill then it takes them time to take care of it. you shouldn't be charged someting for a discount.
