Ok, so I fell really hard on the floor and my knee was killing me that whole day. Since then, it doesn't hurt as bad, but it is a tad swollen and my knee is covered in a bruise that varies from blue, to yellow-y and in some spots, its like little blue dots. Do you think its just a bruise, or do you think that it could be cracked?
I really don't want to go to the doctor.

It does not sound like you broke it, sounds more like you have injured the ligaments, but I am no doctor. I did a little research and perhaps with the link below you can find an answer to your knee problem, Good luck in healing!

The only way to tell if you cracked(fractured) your patella is to have n x-ray taken. IIn the mean time the old stand-by treatment of ice and eleavation should be followed. The swelling and bruising are tipical when the blood vessels in the area are broken and leak out into the tissue. The little dots are just small pin point hemorrhages of the surface vessles.

IF YOU CAN WALK AND BEND YOUR KNEE YOUR PROBABLY OK. JUST TAKES TIME TO HEAL. MINE WAS ABOUT A YEAR. I FELL ON IT 2 DAYS IN A ROW. IT'S OK NOW. TRY SOME HEAT OR ICE ON YOUR KNEE. ALSO RUBS FOR JOINTS HELP.
