I have never once found a liberal that can think for themselves. It is my personal opinion and experience that everytime a liberal uses the brain GOD gave them they become a conservative. I am not necessarily talking republican and democrat because there is conservatives and liberal in both parties. I myself am independent and find most self thinking conservatives are also independent. If every liberal took the lies and talking points they heard from there party and investigated them then they would find that liberalism is only around because some people can't face the truth. There is not one liberal idea that can stand the test of critical thinking and investigation for the truth. I challenge every liberal on Yahoo to prove me wrong.

I will admit there are some conservatives that can't or won't think for themselves and yes there are many talking points mostly true and some lies from conservatives also. I never said there wasn't, but I have NEVER found a liberal willing to think for themselves. I have even convinced some to become conservative from just things I have told them about both sides and life in general and they just decided to change based on what I said, did not ask for proof of what I was saying.

The only conservsative talk show host I listen to religiously is Andrew Wilkow on Sirius Radio. His show is based on ratioinal thought and I do look up everything he says to find the truth in the matter. I also sometimes listen to all the others. I also listen to several liberal talk shows on my sirius, mainly Ed Schultz and Bill Preston and look up things i hear from them also. I love politics, law, and current events both national and world current events. I watch several different news programs and get a lot of news on the internet. I look up as much information as I can find as often as I can and think critically about all of the people i hear from throughout the day before I repeat or give my own opinions, and mostly use that info when asking and answering questions on here.

You pretty much described conservatives in general. Liberals are not willing to put up with those that disagree with them. Joe Liberman votes liberal on 95% of the issues, He votes for and stands behind his vote for the war in Iraq and he becomes an outcast. Conservatives ALWAYS disagree at first and have to debate each other in order to come to an agreement, I will admit that sometimes those debates end up being the majority strong arming the minority though. It is rare to hear disagreement from the liberals, although I am sure at least sometimes that is because they keep their disagreemnt to themselves. I am not talking about those in public office though. This question was based on what I find in the general public. As far as YA I find that most liberals say the same thing and most conservatives say the same thing, but the most diversity I find is among the conservatives on here. I read about 70% of the questions and answers in politics on here.

Another Talk Show host I listen to on the radio is Larry Elder, who is a libertarian. I do have a very wide range of places I get my info and the proof I look up. The thing that is most common among liberals is that they think with emotions and not there brain. Thinking emotionally especially when talking about law and politics will never help you to find the truth about things. We all have feeling and our feelings may not always agree with what is going on around us, but that does not mean things are WRONG, instead we need to put our feelings aside long enough to find out if what we FEEL is wrong TRULY is wrong. 99.9% of the time you will find your feelings although possibly justified and right, do not agree with the facts and that what you feel is bad or wrong is intellectually the best thing. Someone mentioned all the Harvard grads that are liberal, a degree from an ivy league school doesn't make you right. As a matter of fact a poll on Ivy league schools finds mostly F's in History

How true. I asked 3 local liberals what they thought about clinton's tirade on Sunday, and all 3 had nothing to say. By Tuesday, all 3 liberals had the exact same thing to say, 'Clinton energized the party by a 'spinal transplant''. Obviously, they got their talking points from the same blog or newspaper. Yes, all 3 used the words 'spinal transplant'. I asked where they got their term 'spinal transplant', and they said they thought of it themselves.
How predictable.

I think you have libs and neocons confused my friend. I can prove it to you in one sentence. RepuliQaedans biggest argument against liberals is that they believe liberals are weak because we don't agree on all issues, like..uh...they do! I personally think it makes us stronger as free thinkers. I challenge you to dispute that fact! Another thing is if you look at neocons across the board here on Y A.. You will find that their answers and questions are generally the same, however, if you look at liberals their questions vary widely. I know, I need not go further, however I will go one step further in three words.....BUSH..er, I mean FOX NEWS NETWORK. Their talking points are the same ones you hear regurgitated here in Y A! One last note, by their vary nature neocons are unwilling to accept change, and opposing viewpoints for that matter. Liberals by very definition are open minded, free thinkers.
Sounds as if those you "converted" were conservatives after all since they didn't question you. Obviously, you have found those neocons, you said you couldn't find then.

My brain that Evolved over Millions of years teaches me to be aware and one of the things I'm aware of is that right wingers seem to blame others for the exact thing they are guilty of. How do I know this rightie is doing that now? Because I watched C-span this morning and heard the righties spouting the talking points probally after just opening their email then later in the day a check of the right wing talking heads and they're all spewing word for word no variation even then on to talk radio and let's see wasn't this the michael savage point today and rush's and oreally and hannity??? the problem with liberals that i find is they're so unique in thought that they go in so many directions focus is lost on stopping the madness i.e. neo-cons using whatever label they give themselves usually republicans calling themselves independent because they once cast a vote for a democrat for dog catcher in a local election . Rewriting history , corruption, attempting 100% control of the people even their sex lives,perpetual war,once using my brain i read a book like this,hmmmmmmmm. how original you righties are.

It's interesting, because a lot of liberals say exactly the same thing about conservatives... that they just spew out the lies and talking points given to them. There are plenty of lies and talking points on either side... and the idea that the other side doesn't think and only spews out lies and talking points is one of them. I'm NOT a liberal but it seems as if they hear or read something that is negative for the republicans and they immediately carry it forward as fact without any supportive evidence.
