It does not have a religious leader. That is the uniqueness about this religion. Unlike other religions, which were established by some body, it is a religion, which evolved on the experiences of the various seers at various periods of time. The whole faith of the Hindus are centred on the Vedas. Any person or any school of thought which is based on Vedic teachings qualify to be within the fold of the Hindu religion. Many should be aware Hindu religion is not exactly the name of the religion, given to it by its followers. Many theological variations like Advaita, Dwida. Vasishtadvaida etc. propagated were still regarded as belonging to Hindu religion, for the reason that they accepted Vedas as their authority. It is said that there was a school of thought which argued for negation of Ishwar as against karma, was also accepted as a Hindu school of philosophy, for the only reason that they drew support for their argument from the Vedas.
The term Hindu was used by the Arabs to refer to the people living beyond the River Sind and it came to denote the faith being followed by them.
The very fact that there was no founder or a leader would show that this religion is the oldest and the rest of the religions which were founders later acquired names after the founder. The result is reflected in its catholicity, multiplicity of religious practices albeit the authority of the vedas not challenged, lack of a religous head, which gives an appearance that this religion is rudderless and which gives encouragement to other religions to poach into its fold.

Hinduism may not be called religion in the sense other religions are known.
It has no founder. It is much more than a religion. It is a way of life. Its ethos has evolved down the ages through its the ancient Hindu traditions, customs, philosophy and culture
The distinguishing feature of Hinduism is pluralism combined with freedom of choice. Further, Hinduism recognizes no intermediary or prophet as standing between man and God.
Its more about spirituality.

Hinduism is not a religion started by one single person.. it was the life style of all the people at that age..... When that lifestyle of people started to change and changed to a drastic angle, other relegions came into existance so that they can make people to go to that original lifestyle and those religions have leaders who guide (or supposed to guide) the people to that path. The Hindus, those who are not aware of this are not practising the original but the detoriated Hinduism
When ever someone tries to bring these people to the right path, that becomes a different religion itself for example Buddism, Jainism, etc.....

It is impossible for Hinduism to be taught or guided to people by any one person. The vastness of its knowledge is such. The vedas are believed to have been heard by seers and priests centuries ago. These seers had to "tune" their minds with meditation to hear these cosmic sounds that they captured and in turn taught their disciples. They have never been written or composed by anyone. So, different vedas are known to have been captured by different priests. Their names have formed part of the vedic nomenclature to immortalise them. the vedas contain knowledge on universal sciences, earthly sciences (medicine, yoga, etc) righteous way of life and a million other topics. Phew ! its a phenomenol subject - anyway to answer your question, no - the hindus do not have any world leader.
There are certain people dedicated to understanding this religion by means of religious practices and by way of understaning doctrines, and they impart such knowledge to common folks as well. They are known as gurus or swamy's or Pandits'. Unfortunately, this is a widely misused profile and there are many making a living out of such a way of life.
Well, each to their own. In case you are interested, this might be worth surfing

Leaders? No. There are only FOLLOWERS . That is the unique aspect of this way of life , which is , now, called Hinduism. Anyone can be a Hindu if he/she follows these prescribed (in sciptures) way of life. Yes. There are teachers , who are genearlly called Gurus , and there are a number of them. It is the average , less informed masses who ELEVATE these teachers to the untenable, exhalted position of Leaders. And there comes the dicotamy and confusion.

Isn't it great to think that we are part of the oldest surviving religion in the world that has survived all odds these many years without a single leader? Having no central authority except God is our greatness!

Hindus believe that no one is superior or inferior to other. The holy spirit runs through all of us.
It is a misconception that Hindus have a lot of Gods. We actually believe that there is only one God and all other forms are its manifestations.

To begin with there is no religion called "Hindu religion"
What the so called Hindus practice is known as Sanatana dharma, (or the ancient way of righteous living). There is no leader for it. (Sanatana Means very ancient and time less)
