We have cleaner air, less pollution, less population, much less violence (Ever seen Bowling for Columbine?).....and from reading some of the answers here less arrogant pompous people. Also our medical system is far better than US, I have friends in US going broke because of the amount they pay for health care, and prescriptions.

People are people no matter where they live. But Canada is a beautiful country, just like most of the States. There's something for everyone in both countries.

cause we're basically the US with much less of all the bad stuff and more good stuff. but! we owe all this to the US for getting rich by pissing off the poor and the world and then becoming our greatest trading partner where we get money to fund our socialist agendas.

How come the Canadian identity hinges solely upon the fact that you are NOT Americans? Cant you find some other claim to recognition in the world besides loudly clucking your tounges and tut-tutting and every time the US is mentioned in a less than favorable light? We are your #1 trade partner after all. Why can't your nation grow a pair and do something bold or noteworthy on the international scene, export a celebrity better than the likes of Celine Dion or Jim Carrey, or make a notable contribution to humanity, and derive cred from that? Huh?! Whats stopping you? Oh that's right you are Canadian, not a slimy American; you have to sleep with blinders on at night besides your shining moral excellence would keep you awake all night...

Canada is definitely not the best country. For instance, Canada doesn't care about freedom for the individual. They proved this when they made it almost impossible to own a firearm.

I don't know, I guess if you like snow it is a nice place. I prefer warmer temperatures such as Phoenix, AZ, U.S.A. Don't eat the yellow snow.

Your premise is false. So we can't name a reason for something that isn't true. It's a socialist country which means achievement is punished and sloth is rewarded. Good luck.
