Mars is the Roman god of war. He was given additional aspects like "honor" to offset the blood lust associated with Ares.
In the fyi department, the Romans took all the Greek gods and renamed them. Artemis, by the way, was Apollo's sister not Mars' sister.

Mars is the Roman God of War. However his greek counterpart (equivalent) is Ares. Ares' sister is Athena, so I think I can take a guess that Mars' sister is Minerva.

Son of Zeus and Hera, in Greek mythology, spear-carrying Ares was the god of war and warriors. Because Ares killed men, he was hated by the Greeks, but he was also known as the savior of cities and father of victory.
The Romans called their more respected war god Mars. Mars was named as the father of Romulus and Remus
