Not really; but Torvald wasn't really justified in treating her like a doll. The fact is that Nora was in a no-win situation. She had been awakened to a point where she could no longer live with Torvald. I'm not sure that even with his desire to, he could have learned ot treat her as the perosn she was. I think her conclusion that she was not equipped to rear her children was completely false. I think the decision to leave Torvald was a result of her situation; the decision to leave her children was fueled out of fear, in my opinion. Ultimately, what 'A Doll's House' accomplished was causing questions and conversation; forcing society to examine the personhood and place of women. Which is exactly what Ibsen wanted.
