well, that is what they call as the pathogenesis of the virus. Like why HIV attacks the CD4 cells of the body or the influenze virus attcks the respiratory tract. We can't really explain beacuse this how the virus follow to survive. God bless

That is a very good question and it has a very simple answer. The lymph nodes belong to the Lymphatic system which is used to fight diseases and illness. It works with the liver to filter the blood. Through this filtration it goes through lymph nodes and the liver causing distruction due to the fact that it is a disease in the blood stream
