the speedometer bounces up and down when you drive. i greased the cable and there is no cruse control. thanks

cruise control module or the gear which runs the speedo in the transmission I had this problem in an older model buick and it was the cruise module. But the gear which runs the speedo may be bad as well.

One of the ends of the cable are not all the way in the keyed hole in the back of the speedometer or the transmission. When you take them off to check pull the wire out as far as you can an reinsert it and tighten the nut. see is that helps. Or you have the wrong cable fro you application.

the housing that the cable goes in ,,is dry,and this causes it to bind up,and causes it to bounce a lot,,you need to let some oil run down in the housing to help lubricate it good that will help it a lot,,good luck i hope this help,s.
