I am trying to conceive and I have had other symptoms on and off, queasiness..but I don't know if I'm pregnant or not.
I am so anxious to know. The cramping started about a week ago, sometimes I get sharp pains and my period is expected on Oct 1. How long before my cycle am I suppose to start feeling cramping? And why am I having sharp pains?

You can start having cramps for your peroid a week before it comes. The only time you would have cramps if prgnant is if you are fixin to misscarry so if you dont know pray it is your period because a misscarriage isnt a walk in the park.

Are your boobs any different? Most women can't tell the difference between PMS cramps and pregnancy cramps, but breasts often tell the tale before anything else. Mine felt different and were even getting bigger and more pronounced around a week before I missed my period. If you really want to know, go to the store and get a top-of-the-line digital pregnancy test. I get the two-pack one that can tell several days or so before your missed period. Take it first thing in the morning when the pregnancy hormone would be strongest in your body. It's a huge relief to know, one way or the other!

Fatigue, frequent urination and back pain could be symptoms of pregnancy, but this is not probable since you've had a period. It's not unusual for your period to be a little out of whack if you've been on birth control pills for an extended period of time and then discontinue taking them. It sometimes takes six months or so for menstruation to become regular. If you miss a period, that's your best indicator of pregnancy. However, if you feel strongly that you really may be pregnant, take a pregnancy test or see your doctor to be sure.

I started getting crampy right off the bat. I thought it was my period. They felt the same to me. I was pregnant, and very worried because like many others I thought cramps implied something bad, like a miscarriage. My doc said it was very normal thogh and only to worry if bleeding was involved. I am 21wks now and all is well. Take a test! Good luck!

its probably PMS, usually you get cramping a week before your period. you need to wait until you miss your period in order to consider pregnancy. if you dont get your period, than wait a few days to see if it comes and if not then go to the doctor and do a blood test.
