Most people understand that the standard denotation of a word can be the exact opposite of its accepted connotation, but it's useless to argue semantics with people whose archaic mindsets keep them ignorant of the current vernacular.
Many residents of Hawaii speak a pidgin form of the English language, and surfing jargon is an standard part of their daily vernacular.

By using standard English veranacular, and our semantics, we could figure out that the archaic argot of pidgin jargon has a connotation to English words and idioms, but not really any denotation.

your semantics are completely archaic.
archaic : forming the earliest stage; prior to full development
argot : a specialized idiomatic vocabulary peculiar to a particular class or group of people, esp. that of an underworld group, devised for private communication and identification
connotation : the associated or secondary meaning of a word or expression in addition to its explicit or primary meaning
denotation : the explicit or direct meaning or set of meanings of a word or expression, as distinguished from the ideas or meanings associated with it or suggested by it
idiom : a construction or expression of one language whose parts correspond to elements in another language but whose total structure or meaning is not matched in the same way in the second language.
jargon : unintelligible or meaningless talk or writing; gibberish
pidgin : any simplified or broken form of a language, esp. when used for communication between speakers of different languages.
semantics : the meaning, or an interpretation of the meaning, of a word, sign, sentence, etc
standard : something considered by an authority or by general consent as a basis of comparison; an approved model
vernacular : expressed or written in the native language of a place, as literary works

your being too samantic, your loss for understadning the standard vernacular is a bunch of jargon, a simple denotation of your missunderstanding of the archaic use of the words.
