So, I have this assignment for sociology. I have to list what my position in this world is.
My professor/book describes position as: A status is a position within a group. There are a number of positions that people hold. People have positions they hold at home (parents, spouses), at church (deacon, finance committee member), at school (student, SGA representative) and other places. What each of these groups accomplishes (functions) and the types of behaviors people engage in are different. There are two types of stations: ascribed and achieved.
I have two already. One is a student and the other is a daughter. I need a third one. I don't know what to put down. I am currently not involved in activities at the college at this moment.
Can some one help me?

Go to your nearest pet store and take a look in one of their big
fish Tanks if they have one and you will see the different levels
that their society has, from the ones on the bottom that keep
the tank clean to the ones up top that prey on the feeder fish!
You will see a simple version of what your existence is like in
your society and then determine your position. A confidant,
A big Sister, A Friend, A Soulmate, The Shinning light in an
admirers Eyes..........etc.....

You are also a friend, a Grandchild, a teen group, or twenties group. Just a few. Hope this helps!

within your friends, you could be the leader of the group or something like that.
