I am a very very skinny person, and entirely curveless. However, I recently had a growth spurt--up--and didn't develop anywhere else, making me look even skinnier and ganglier. A few of my friends talk about it constantly, and it makes me feel uncomfortable! Another one of my friends (who is really thin, pretty and pretty curvy) ONLY says to me: Laura! I am not even kidding! GAIN SOME WEIGHT! I don't really weigh that little anymore! How do I tell them to back off without sounding unappreciative of my...thin-ness?

be confident.tell them you like your body. tell them you never make fun of they're body so why should they make fun of you.also tell them that its make you feel bad.just be honest.im pretty skinny myself because i have a fast metabolism.i have people make fun of me all the time but i just tell them and i know this is mean but i say "well its better that being really fat. i like my body. and if you dont like my body thats your problem not mine"

what you can do is talk to a nutritionist and see what can be done if it really bothers you . If you are young, your body will continue to develop. I had the same problem as you , I stand 6'1 tall and was quite skinny but that was when i was 15 , a few years later I really devoloped breats and i hated them for being big. So if its not one thing , its something eles. No matter what you look like , there will always be flack . You just have to acceppt yourself first and then work out what you dont like . !!

Good Luck!
also , never mind the hate mail , they dont know you so does it matter ?

THIN girls RULE!!!!

If you're emaciated then eat a little more, but better than that, start lifting some weights. Heavy weights and low repititions will build mass. That's what you want, and muscle weighs more than fat anyway.

This will Sculpt your body, if this is what you want. Maybe they are trying to help you by telling you something they didn't know if you were aware of or not. Maybe you should consider what hey are saying.

But you don't want to end up looking like some bulked up mass. Just do it in moderation to tone yourself.

Good luck to you.

Inform them that if they are true friends they would notice your a little taller now and the rest of your body hasn't caught up yet.
Also you might take comfort in the fact that all the super models of today talk about how they were made fun of when they were young because they were considered shapeless and skinny.
So ask your mom if you can check into doing a little modeling on the side- and they will envy you instead of picking on you.

well, they shouldn't be so mean. I know it's hard to be naturally skinny in this world of overweight people. They are jealous which is why you shouldn't take them personally. Even though I have stayed at a very decent weight I am still jealous of people that can have huge sandwiches and burritos, not exercise and not gain an ounce. So just respect this aspect. We all want to eat whatever we want---it's sad.

it is so wonderful to be skinny. look through a fashion magazine, these are the naturally thinn women who bring the latest fashions to life. having curves it overrated by the mainstream media. this is how you are naturally, it is too bad your friends are fat and so critical of you. i would just tell them to **** off. there is not much you can do. except model!

Back off. Just like that. You don't have to justify it, and telling them to get off of your back has nothing to do about sounding unappreciative.

Well I'm skinny to but w/ some curves I guess.. well as long as there is no "problem"(anerexia.. etc.) w/ your skinniness and you are healthy then you are doing fine . I know how you feel 2 be skinny ! but its ok we will all grow and thats normal

Honey they are jus jealous of you, that is all that is. You should take matters into ur own hands and bust them in the face. I know if ppl don't like what i look like they don't have to look at me, that is the way i see it. you should stand up for yourself.
