Well since it shows you have no real business sense behind this question its a waste to show how wrong your question is to begin with.
Largest automaker in the world and one of the worlds largest companies....bankrupt? Thats a good one.

GM is the biggest car manufacturer in the world. Not only do they build cars and trucks but they also own part of Directv, XM Satellite, OnStar, banks, and insurance companies. Going bankrupt will only keep the collectors at bay and they will have more money. GM has succeeded the first car company Ford and even surpassed all others.
Buy American and you won'y have to worry about GM going out of business. Keep buying forgein and you are just investing your money in another country.

An old saying goes like this"As General Motors goes ,so goes the USA!!!! Reason being is all who GM employees and the layoff of every one who supplys or delivers parts to GM will go down

If GM went barkrupt, it would not be the end of the world. However, it will severely cripple the US and world economies.
But, I don't think GM will go bankrupt. They have started to turn things around, and they have plenty of cash and assets.
