I couldn't wait until election time for the gas prices...I wish there was a way you could safely stock up! I agree! I think we will hit 4.00 before the next election. Remember it's a big one, so we need to be made to feel like times are really really bad and that our current elected officials are doing what they can to fix it!

The rules of economics state that gas prices have to drop rapidly. Yes, America is dependant on oil, and yes, foreign countries have been trying to stick it to us as of late. Fortunately, the oil magnates in these foreign countries understand that America is a land of entrepreneurs. Unlike most of Europe, Americans will not tolerate paying the prices we've been paying for long. The Arabs and Venezuelans understand that if they keep the prices of oil as high as they have been, Americans will find an alternative. When that alternative is found, Americans will no longer need the oil from these countries, and they will all be broke.

With that said, it only makes sense for prices to drop. Consider the fact that in todays dollars, the price of gas in 1980 averaged $2.59 a gallon. In 1999 I paid 73 cents per gallon. Prices skyrocketed in the summer of 2000, and settled around $1.39 until a couple of years ago.

Prices will go down. In fact, I'm predicting $1.25 by New Years.

I actually assume it will bounce around as it did in the 70's. Yes, History does repeat itself. Where I am it around $2.59 a gallon. It will move up and well not down, that probably the low, so, up and back down with a range of $2.59-2.89. We will see this until there more trouble in world relations & nature. Just hope we not get hit with another Hurricane Katrina or one of those Tsunamis. It would not help matters. Especially when Oil Refineries are involved.

If we combine our efforts I'm sure that we can make enough natural gas to go around for about a buck in a half!

I predict it will be around $3.25. Isn't it amazing how it works. We need to hold elections more frequently!
