When I look in the mirror, I like what I see. I also like the looks of my family. I guess I just got used to them when I was growing up.
I also have a fairly diverse family with members coming from Korea, China, Africa and Mexico. They look good too. We have a wonderful mixture of colors in my family.

I believe that everyone has been taught one stereotype or another. Even if they may not act on it, it still exists. The term racist is so charged, but convenient rather than "socially and culturally biased" which doesn't come tripping off the tongue so to speak.

For example: (I don't believe any of these just offering examples)

All blacks are lazy

All Jews are cheap

All Italians are criminals

All Irish are drunks

All English are prudes

All French are rude and don't bathe

All Americans are bores and punks

All southerners are stupid

All Islamics are terrorists

All women are bad drivers

All gay men are sissies

I could go on. Anytime one hears in their head that "all people" "those people" its a stereotypical thought that someone gave you. and that is why it is said that everyone is a little racist

I certainly hope that not everyone is "racist" as you call it.

I have to believe there are some parents somewhere in this world that are raising children to view people without prejudice and judgments based on personal appearance, or even class lines. Somewhere in this world there must be some individuals with loving hearts.

Common sense. Every person has some pre-conceived notion/feeling about a stranger based on that strangers race, no matter how benign it may be. It is inherent in the human psyche. You may delude yourself otherwise, if you choose to live in politically-correct land, but it is the truth none-the-less.

Its because we are all born with a TRIBAL INSTINCT but our conscience and common sense keeps that in check.
