no i dont believe a 5 yr old had a baby the youngest i know is 13

I don't believe that because even with the secular trend occurring, which is where sexual maturation or puberty is occurring earlier and earlier, it will stop at some point. So even with this factor, the age of sexual maturation can't get much younger than it already is, and it's certainly not 5 years old. In order for a young girl to get pregnant, she would first have to have a period, which we all know. How she comes to get her period and reach sexual maturation, where she would be able to bear children, is based on body fat. Girls have to maintain a certain amount of body fat before this can happen. Thus, it is impossible for a 5 year old to bear a child.

Wow...she'll have a 5 year old child at the ripe old age of 10. lets hope this young mother's child doesnt start popping them out at 5! 3 generations within 15 yrs...thats just creepy!

My grandmother actually new someone who was related to the girl.

The earliest I heard was 11 and she became pregnant because she was raped by a family member. What one may think is a pregnancy is if the child had a twin and the twin developed inside of her sister instead of in the uterus.

Yes! She was 5. I read about this a few weeks ago. It was suspected that her father was molesting her, but I'm not sure if it was proven or not. Such a sad story, but very true -- believe it or not!
